The Ocean Park Memorial Library was built in 1924 at the site of Furber Park and dedicated on August 11. The building was designed by Karl M. Pattee.

Prior to the construction of the library, Ocean Park was served by a small circulating library held by the Educational Bureau. The mission to create a library for Ocean Park was undertaken by the Acquaintance Club, an informal organization of women formed in 1911, who helped to raise funds, secure a lease, and maintain the library until 1952.

The caption reads, "Memorial Library, Ocean Park, Maine."

The Tichnor Brothers printing company published this type of postcard circa 1938.
