Portland Sunday Telegram photographers captured a portrait of school children from St. Patrick’s Parish dressed in "Little Sunbeam" costumes to promote their upcoming performance of Legend of the Beautiful Cloth, a one-act play that was to be staged the following evening at St. Patrick’s Parish Hall on Congress Street. Presented as a benefit for parish funds, the program featured songs, dances, and a fairy tale set in wartime Fairyland.
