Image Info Portland Press Herald photographers captured Miss Lillian Stockman swinging a golf club, likely taken for a feature in the newspaper. Stockman was an accomplished golfer, and according to the October 6th, 1926 edition of the Portland Evening Express, she "vanquished" Mrs. R.C. Payson in the final round of the Ellen E. Barrows tournament at the Portland Country Club the prior afternoon.
