Surveyors David Thompson and William A. Bird, working under the authority of Commissioners Anthony Barclay and Peter Porter, created this map of the Northeastern portion of Lake Ontario, including the Bay of Quinte, Amherst Island, and Grand Island.

This map is part of a larger archive, the Thomas Barclay collection (Coll. 26), related to the drawing of the Northern boundary between British Canada and the United States.
