Commissioners and surveyors for the 6th article of the Treaty of Ghent created this large rolled manuscript map of Lake St. Lawrence, the St. Lawrence River, and the islands within to aid in the drawing of the international boundary.

Members of the British Commission included Anthony Barclay, David Thompson, and Samuel Thompson. Members of the American Commission were Peter B. Porter and William Bird. These items are part of a larger archive, the Thomas Barclay collection (Coll. 26).
