M. J. Haskell (1816-1886) advertised his "good assortment" of stoves, stove funnels, well-made tin ware, gutters, pails and tea pots. He also offered repairs at his Union Street location.

Shortly after getting married, Haskell opened his tinsmith business in 1850. He remained in Portland until 1870, when he moved to Lewiston.
