Fred Philpot took this photograph from an elevated position, perhaps a telephone pole (note the boys on the neighboring pole), looking north along Main Street. Several horse-drawn buggies and two early automobiles are clearly visible. At the upper left, near the Springvale House, is a large wagon decorated with flags. Harland H.
