Two women demonstrated techniques in a life saving class. The woman closest to the camera has a Life Saving Corps ARC (American Red Cross) on patch on her swimsuit. In 1914, a pioneer program in Jacksonville, FL, became a part of the ARC water safety program.

Some of the seated girls have Junior LCS (Life Saving Corps) patches on their swimsuits.
