The caption reads, "Greetings from Sandy Beach Camps, Oakland, Me." This view of Messalonskee Lake near Oakland represents an advertisement for camps along the Lake's shores. Messalonskee was also known as Snow Pond, and is one of the northernmost lakes of the Belgrade Lakes area of Maine and a popular tourist destination.

The Tichnor Brothers printing company published this type of postcard circa 1930-1945.
