Image Info

The caption reads, "The Post Office, Eastport, Me." The Eastport Post Office was originally built as the Eastport Customs House in 1891 in the Italianate style. It was one of 26 replacement buildings constructed after the October 14,1886 fire decimated the town’s commercial district. The post office is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

The Tichnor Brothers printing company published this type of postcard circa 1938.
