Amos D. Starbird and his wife, Mary Jane Gilkey, raised their family in Freeman and operated a sawmill there from 1870 to 1887, when they sold the business to their son, Clinton. They then moved to Apopka, FL, where they continued to engage in the lumbering business.Show Details
