This cartoon was drawn by William Ourcadie, a pseudonym for Frederic William Freeman. He drew many cartoons supporting suffrage for women.

Freeman was married to Louise Freeman, a member of the National Woman's Party and active in the Equal Suffrage Referendum League.

Some of his cartoons also appeared in the National Woman's Party newspaper.
