"Centation" is a "Dinner dress of Jersey with silver." It cost 1800 francs. A note with the fabric swatch says the "material is dyed in any shade."

Paris fashion houses sent such fashion line drawings to customers in the U.S. and elsewhere, choosing which drawings to send based on the women's tastes and past purchases. Women then ordered directly from the Paris houses.

Mildred Burrage (1890-1983) of Kennebunkport, had studied and worked as an artist in Paris in the 1910s when she was first out of school. This and other fashion drawings were among her belongings.
