Faith Jayne Hinckley (1891-1987) was the daughter of George Walter and Harriet Palmer Hinckley. She was educated at Good Will Schools in Hinckley, and later at Oberlin College and Conservatory in Oberlin, Ohio. Upon her return to Good Will, Faith taught in the music department.

In September 1917 Faith enlisted in the Y.M.C.A., and by November of that year she was in St. Nazaire, France working for the SOS (Service of Supplies). When the war ended Faith joined her brother Ed Ben's regiment, serving in the same capacity until just before they returned to the United States.
