Image Info

The water tower was erected in 1887 and designed by Horace Wadlin, architect of six buildings in the Biddeford and Saco area, including the Old Dyer Library and Thornton Academy. The well beneath the tower is over 250 feet deep and was used to irrigate the land and park in that area. The tower and well exist today near the Gov. Fairfield School in Saco, but are no longer functional.
