The bouquet arrangements on each side of the stage say in part "Ut Opus" 1886 and "Sic Mun . . . " 1890.
In 1886, Saco, York County and the Trustees established Thornton Academy as a corporation and on June 20, 1890, the first class graduated from the new academy.
