Image Info Following Charles Lindbergh's landing on the beach at Old Orchard on July 24, 1927, the Spirit of St. Louis was housed in an airplane hangar belonging to Harry M. Jones, Old Orchard Beach's noted aviator, where many stopped to have their photos taken. Harry Jones' hangar was located at the current site of the Friendship Motel in Old Orchard Beach.
