Governor Percival P. Baxter's vacation home on Mackworth Island in Falmouth. This building later became part of the Baxter School for the Deaf.

Baxter (1876-1969) was governor of Maine from 1921-1925. He served in the Maine State Senate from 1909-1910 and again from 1919 to 1921. He served in the Maine House of Representatives from 1916-1919.
