Russell J. Goodall, a photographer and Stanley owner from Sanford stopped by this apple orchard in Ossipee, N.H., and took this image of his car and his companions while on a circa 1919 tour of the White Mountains, a popular destination for early motorists.Show Details
The car is a 1917 Stanley Model 728 5-passenger touring car with 1919 Maine license plates. Just above the license plate can be seen Goodall's "SANFORD, ME" town tag, framed by his spare tire.
