Image Info The Emery Hill House in Fairfield was the first frame house in that community, built by Jonathan Emery between 1771-1773. It was the headquarters of General Benedict Arnold in his October 1775 Quebec Expedition. The first European child born in Fairfield was born in this house in 1773.
