An unknown building, seemingly in the middle of Main Street, was attached to the grist mill on the Sheepscot River. Inscribed on the card is, "This is the wonderful town where I live. Katie"Show Details
Photographer Frank W. Cunningham (1865-1938) wrote on another postcard with the very same view:
"Where can you get cards with this High Gloss Finish at 2½¢! Only of me. They are going like smoke. Please examine the finish of this card. They sell where the common card will not. Try a few and see. F. W. C.” This postcard was addressed to H. T. Weeks & Co. in Coopers Mills and postmarked Sep. 20, 1909. The Weeks & Co. store was the white building on the far left.
