Image Info

Jane Hinckley broke ground for this cottage in 1895. Thomas W. Hall, who had a leather business in New York City, provided money for the cottage after hearing George Walter Hinckley, Good Will's founder, speak in 1890. This was the first building on the Good Will-Hinckley Campus to be wired for electricity, which preceded the arrival of electricity to the surrounding area by about fifteen years.
