The Flying Yankee, when it was running under the name The Cheshire taken from the Biddeford train station, looking towards the Elm Street over-pass bridge, circa 1950.

The Saco-Lowell building is visible in background, as are the homes along the Hooper Street area, which burned down in a massive fire in 1963. The Flying Yankee ran from Bangor/Portland to Boston 6 days a week from April 1935 until it was retired in May 1957.
