Arthur Waterman (1907-1974) of Portland saved the program. He came in fourth in Combination, Three Gaited on Lexington; competed in Three Gaited Saddle Horses Over 15.2 Hands, also on Lexington; came in third on Lexington in the adult Amateur Class on Lexington; and rode Sun Tan in the Saddle Ponies Under 14.2 Hands.
