This game was played at the Saco Driving Park between Biddeford and Saco teams. The Biddeford team is wearing black shirts, and their goal tender, Jack Lee, is kicking the ball away from the Biddeford goal.
Association football was adopted from the Scottish and English games of football, and was similar to the present day soccer. The ball could be kicked or dribbled with the foot; it could be butted with the head, but it could not be touched with the hand.
