After the large tannery closed in Grand Lake Stream in 1915, large sporting camps and individual vacation camps sprouted up along Grand Lake, Grand Lake Stream and nearby locales.

This camp was owned by "Prof. White."

The postcard is addressed to Barbara Gould, Kenduskeag.

The message reads, "1/1/20 How do you think that you would like to live in a house like this, and a good chance to make snowmans. I havelook like one today. Earl."
