The third-floor chamber in the Wadsworth-Longfellow house on Congress Street in Portland was thought to have been used by poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

The counterpane on the bed was made from the original 1808 curtains from the parlor chamber bedroom on the second floor.

Longfellow grew up in the house that was built by his grandfather Peleg Wadsworth.
