Sketch of a temporary boiler house to supply worker housing, a school, fire station, and hospital at the site of the Passamaquoddy Bay Tidal Power Development in Eastport.

The project was planned to harness tides in Cobscook and Passamaquoddy bays to generate electricity. The Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works allocated $7 million in 1935 to begin construction. No further funds were allocated and the project was abandoned in August 1936.
