Six Bodwell Street (formerly #2-4), with a dog sitting on the left side porch.

Stillman Bodwell, an agent for the Cumberland County Power and Light Company and his predecessors, owned the home.

Bodwell lived on the right side and his father, Charles A. Bodwell, who lived on the left, was superintendent of the Mousam River Railway, the Sanford and Cape Porpoise Railway and the Sanford Light and Water Company.

The elder Bodwell also owned and operated a coal business.
