The families of D. Eugene Chaplin and Joseph Fessenden Chaplin having dinner at Albany Basin in Oxford County. In Albany Township, south of Round Pound, powerful glacial drainage passed through a narrow bedrock gorge along Albany Brook and carved deep potholes. During the 1800s the gorge was a tourist attraction called Albany Basin.
