The third annual Houlton Fair was held August 25, 26 and 27, 1914 at the newly created Houlton Community Park in 1914. It featured livestock, horse racing, a midway and special troups of performers.

"The cavalcade of prize winning stock which was held on the track Thursday morning was a feature that attracted many people to the grounds during the early part of the day and when Supt. Vose gave the word to start the grand stand was well occupied by spectators and as each exhibitor went by with his stock Mr. Lee announced the owners name and the breed of the stock exhibited.

"The cavalcade, headed by the Houlton Brass Band, reached nearly around the park, and the fact that it was not larger was only that it was impossible to get attendants enough to lead the stock.

"The cavalcade was so much appreciated by the spectators that rounds of applause greeted each exhibitor as he passed with his entries." (Aroostook Times, Sept 2, 1914)
