Image Info

A wool one-piece swimsuit, with a white trimmed V-neck was a unisex bathing suit, the style was popular with men and young adults in the 1920s. A photograph of a young teenage girl wearing a similar suit appeared in the "Maine Sunday Telegram" newspaper on July 25, 1920, helping to date the style.

The swimsuit includes a modesty panel/ privacy skirt over shorts, and buttons at the left shoulder. The bathing suit was found in a cottage on Round Pond in Bristol.
