Street begging has been noticed and recorded for hundreds of years. Many beggars played musical instruments to attract people who might have helped the beggar with food, cigarettes, or most importantly, money. Some beggars played their instruments outside of popular locations like churches, such as this one, the Chestnut Street Methodist Episcopal Church, with the intention that more people noticed and donated.Show Details
