Fred W. Hall, his wife, and daughter Dorothy moved their house a mile and a half down the Pine Point beach in Scarborough in the summer of 1924, with the help of Walter Tingley, his team of six horses, numerous crew, and greased skids. The journey proceeded at a pace of 600 to 700 feet a day. The August 4th, 1924 issue of the Portland Press Herald<\em> ran a similar photo with a caption noting that Tingley would next be moving the house of Robert White, a New York attorney to the last lot on Grand Beach.
