Detail of Benjamin Harrison signature from the Dr. John S. H. Fogg Autograph Collection. This letter, signed June 12, 1776, was written in Williamsburg, Pennsylvania to an unknown recipient. Harrison, along with his cosigner Rob Smith, write that the business of the letter is of a private nature and demand a hearing to be held in front of the House to discuss an issue with the Constitutional Convention.

Harrison is the father of the 9th President, William Henry Harrison, and great grandfather of the 23rd President, Benjamin Harrison.
