Image Info Arthur "Marty" Waterman graduated from Portland High School in 1923, Harvard in 1927 and Harvard Law in 1930. He was part owner of State Motor Company and Maine Motors, including Maine Motors Marine Division.

He was married to Frances Helfront, also a graduate of Portland High School, from 1931-1934.
Waterman served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was active in the Portland Jewish Historical Society.
