Image Info Mt. Katahdin and Granger, bred and raised at Creambrook Farm by A.S. Rand of Stetson, were known as the Largest Oxen in the World. In this photo, taken at Creambrook farm in Stetson, the oxen weighed 8,600 pounds.

Both animals were shown at fairs and agricultural events around the Northeast and Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Katahdin died first and was stuffed and shown in parades and at fairs for many years. Granger was buried at the Rand farm.
