Image Info

This postcard depicts the vehicular and trolley bridge connecting Waterville and Winslow as it appeared while under construction around 1911. The bridge spanned the Kennebec River and was then the southernmost bridge between the towns.

To the left of the bridge on the Waterville side are the buildings of the Lockwood Company where employees spun and wove cotton into millions of yards of cloth per year.
