Green Acre hosted speakers from near and far to promote the concept of peace and unity.

Sarah Farmer, who began these programs in 1894, invited 'Abdu'l-Baha from Haifa, Israel, to speak in 1912.

'Abdu'l-Baha was the son of Baha'u'llah, the founder of the Baha'i Faith.
