Image Info A La Mode Elegante dress illustration that Mary King Scrimgeour (1849-1930) of Lewiston had among her possessions and probably used to either order a dress from France or have a local dressmaker copy.

Scrimgeour owned a dress similar to the one pictured.
On the reverse are sketches of seven other dress designs.
The illustration reads: "La Mode Elegante, Revue de Toutes les nouveautes, Gustave Lyon, Editeur, Paris, 42 Rue Etienne Marcel."
