Image Info

A British unite or 20-shilling coin bears an image of King Charles I with the words, "CAROLVS.D.G.MAG.BRI.FRA.ET.RI.REX" (Charles by the grace of God, King of England) along the edge.

On the reverse are the words, "FLORENT:CONCORDIA:REGNA:"

The coin was buried on Richmond Island, probably by Walt Bagnall, first settler there in 1628.
