The leftmost building, corner of Water and School Streets, later became the Post Office. The new building of Lubec Memorial Library occupied this site beginning in 2001. Peggy Bailey wrote in 2010 that “my grandmother McBride’s Aunt Marcia (Reynolds Fountain) lived upstairs, and had a millinery shop downstairs in the Post Office building around the turn of the century.” The new building of Lubec Memorial Library is now on this site. The building with angled door across School Street, later known as the “Rexall Store,” still stands.“Donated by Jackie McCurdy Daves Pat Townsend’s sister.”
