Image Info Charles Quincy Goodhue (1835-1910), a Portland amateur artist, spent the last 20 years of his life sketching Portland as it looked before the fire of 1866.

This sketch shows Munjoy Hill, looking out into Casco Bay, as it looked in 1845. Goodhue made the sketch in 1896, one of many he made of Munjoy Hill.
The islands are, from left, Little Hog (Little Diamond), Peaks, Bangs (Cushing), and House.
