Image Info

The Hiawatha spoon pattern, named after Longfellow's character, was created for the Holmes & Edwards Prize Pattern Competition of 1928 to 1929.

The Holmes & Edwards Silver Company was established in Connecticut in 1882, and was purchased by the International Silver Company in 1898.

Although there are at least three silver patterns named Hiawatha that were created from 1887 to 1937, none of them appears to have been created from this pattern.
