Image Info

A group portrait of Cyrus P. Church tannery workers in East Bradford. Church operated a tannery in east Bradford for about twenty years, when his son Charles took over the business. Initially known as Church & Plaisted, the tannery opened in 1852. It burned in 1867, but was quickly rebuilt. According to photograph historian James B. Vickery, this image is thought to be the tannery before it burned in 1867.
