Image Info The hull for S.S. "Belgrade," under construction in South Portland on March 28, 1918, was built at the Cumberland Shipyard. During World War I, the Cumberland Shipyard built wooden vessels designed by Theodore Ferris; the ships were known as "Ferris Type Wooden Steamers."
